Improving website accessibility

This one day training course will help web team members to:

• Understand what constitutes an accessible site
• Appreciate the benefits and limitations of different types of assistive technology
• Make use of relevant standards and related validation tools
• Ensure compliance with the Disability and Discrimination act
• Avoid common mistakes

The course consists of five parts and two or three exercises. Common kinds of assistive technologies are demonstrated. Video material of real accessibility test sessions is used to demonstrate user behaviour.
