Usability and Accessibility for the Public sector

This one day training course focuses on the needs of public sector clients. It offers an introduction to:

• The principles of accessibility and usability
• Compliance with the Disability and Discrimination act
• Developing information architectures that people can navigate
• Government standards and guidelines
• Establishing 'usability culture' throughout the organisation
• Making 'transactional' sites usable

The course consists of four parts and three or four exercises. Video material of real usability sessions from public sector site tests is used to demonstrate user behaviour.
